โฆษก ทบ.ซัดเขมรบิดเบือน กล่าวหาไทยทำร้าย 2 ทหารเขมรจนพิการ และมีปัญหาทางจิต ยันมีหลักฐานชัดทำทุกอย่างภายใต้กติกาสากล

จากกรณี สื่อกัมพูชาปั่นข่าวหนักโจมตีกล่าวหาไทย อ้างว่าปฏิบัติโหดกับ 2 ทหารกัมพูชาที่ถูกส่งกลับ จนพิการและมีปัญหาทางจิต พร้อมจะยื่นเรื่องถึงยูเอ็นนั้น

วันที่ 2 ส.ค. 68 พล.ต.วินธัย สุวารี โฆษกกองทัพบก กล่าวว่า กรณีที่ทหารไทยจับกุม และควบคุมตัว ทหารกัมพูชา ภายหลังจากข้อตกลงหยุดยิง โดยกล่าวหาว่าไทยทำร้ายร่างกายอย่างไม่เป็นธรรมทำก่อนส่งกลับนั้น เป็นเพียงคำกล่าวหา บิดเบือนจากฝ่ายกัมพูชา และการหยุดยิงแบบฉับพลัน แต่สถานการณ์ความขัดแย้งที่มีการใช้อาวุธต่อกัน ยังไม่สิ้นสุดลงอย่างแท้จริงตามกฎหมายสากล กระบวนการฝ่ายทหารในการควบคุมตัวไว้ก่อน จึงยังสามารถทำได้ตามอนุสัญญาเจนีวา

พล.ต.วินธัย กล่าวต่อ ทั้งนี้ในส่วนของกองทัพบก มีแผนและพร้อมที่จะเชิญองค์กรระหว่างประเทศ เช่น ICRC มาดูความเป็นอยู่ของเชลยศึกที่ถูกควบคุมตัว ซึ่งอยู่ในกรอบการดำเนินการตามขั้นตอนของอนุสัญญาเจนีวาอย่างสมบูรณ์ และชัดเจน หากกังวลเรื่องความเป็นอยู่ เพราะรู้เท่าทันว่าฝ่ายกัมพูชาจะนำเรื่องนี้ไปบิดเบือนทำลายความน่าเชื่อถือฝ่ายทหารไทย ทาง ผู้แทน UNHCR และ ICRC จึงสามารถขอเข้ามาดูได้ ตามช่องทางกระบวนการตามที่กฎหมายสากลระบุ และฝ่ายไทยยืนยันดำเนินการทุกอย่างภายใต้กติกาสากล

Army Spokesman Slams Cambodia for Distorting Facts, Denies Abuse of Injured and Mentally Ill Soldiers — Says Thailand Has Clear Evidence of Compliance with International Laws

Amid mounting Cambodian media reports accusing Thailand of inhumane treatment toward two Cambodian soldiers who were repatriated — alleging the soldiers were left disabled and mentally ill and that the issue would be raised at the United Nations — the Thai army has pushed back firmly.

On August 2, 2025, Royal Thai Army spokesman Maj. Gen. Winthai Suvaree stated that the accusations from the Cambodian side — that Thailand mistreated and unjustly harmed the two Cambodian soldiers in custody before returning them — are false and distorted. He emphasized that although a ceasefire agreement was reached, armed tensions along the border have not fully ceased in accordance with international legal standards. Thus, the detention procedures taken by Thai forces remain within the scope allowed under the Geneva Conventions.

Maj. Gen. Winthai further explained that the Royal Thai Army has plans — and is fully prepared — to invite international organizations such as the ICRC to observe the living conditions of the detained prisoners of war. He affirmed that all detention processes are being carried out strictly under the Geneva Conventions. If there are concerns about the detainees' welfare, he noted, the UNHCR and ICRC are welcome to conduct inspections through the appropriate legal channels.

He concluded by reiterating that Thailand has acted strictly within international legal frameworks and that any attempt by the Cambodian side to mislead the international community is both misleading and politically motivated.
